Located in Jalalabad city in the eastern Nangarhar province, covering 15 acres, this oasis of peace amid the clogged population of Jalalabad city dates back to the reign of Muhammad Zahir Shah the last King of Afghanistan.
The King formally ordered and opened the completed royal Spinghar Hotel & Resort (1934), which includes majestic 90+ year-old Date Palm trees preserved on the periphery of the garden, offering as its focal point. The spectacular Date Palm and Citrus trees and this garden are maintained by the hotel.
The two-story royal hotel can be let wholly, extended stay or short-term rentals. It boasts 35 excellent large rooms with panoramic terrace overlooking spectacular garden. It also offers a restaurant and large halls (seating 180+) with finest private garden. Guests may dine in the Garden or find luxury comfort amongst stunning tall trees.
At its perimeter, it has a number of cafés, various foods, a beautiful garden with flowers, tennis courts and ice-cream stands complete the picture which hosts open-air family gatherings during the summer and nature-lovers alike.
Everything starts in the early 20th century, when the palace housed the King, nobles and travellers from around the world travelled to the eastern Jalalabad city at the foot of Greco-Buddhist archaeological site.
